Join us for a 2-day all-inclusive cultural CME retreat at the black sand beaches of Karioitahi. An immersive educational experience, offering a safe space to build your understanding of a Maori worldview, and practical ways to bring that insight into your clinical practice for more equitable care.

A transformative CME retreat designed to move beyond the classroom and into an immersive learning experience. Together we create a safe space to explore challenges, korero openly, and build confidence through an experiential understanding of a Maori worldview. You’ll leave with practical ways to bring this understanding into your clinical work, better supporting tangata whai ora and their whanau, and contributing to genuine healthcare equity.


What's Included?

  • All-Inclusive 2-night CME retreat at Cliffside

  • Fully furnished "tent" with king bed + private shower & toilet

  • Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner and snacks a plenty for the duration of the retreat

  • This retreat is designed to accommodate all weather conditions - you will be well taken care of with electric blankets, heaters and warm enclosed spaces

  • 4WD transport to and from the campsite

  • Cultural Wellbeing offers a multi-level ticket price structure to make our education available to all members of the healthcare community. Funded tickets such as SMO tickets make it possible for us to offer below cost tickets to others

  • Please note - this retreat will not accommodate children over the age of two
